A postdoc position is available immediately, in Dr. Sayan Chakraborty’s laboratory to study an exciting project that investigates the in-depth molecular and biochemical mechanisms of the oncogenic action of Agrin. The Chakraborty lab is commencing at Roswell Park in the summer of 2022. Previous studies from our group have shown that Agrin acts as a master regulator of mechanotransduction via YAP/TAZ activation and ‘outside-in communications’ via engagement of integrin-focal adhesion complexes in cancer cells.
Using liver cancer models, we have recently observed that Agrin shapes up the mechanical landscape of the tumor microenvironment (TME) and modulates tumor angiogenesis by stabilizing VEGFR2.
