Professor Zare’s conducts research in the area of machine learning and artificial intelligence where they have focused primarily on developing new machine learning algorithms to automatically understand and process data and imagery.

Postdoctoral position in microbial chemistry and drug discovery is available in the laboratory of Prof. Sandra Loesgen at the Whitney Laboratory for Marine Bioscience, University of Florida, in St. Augustine, Florida. 9. Postdoctoral Position

The research laboratory of protein engineering and synthetic biology led by Dr. Denard (THE DENARD LAB AT UF CHEMICAL ENGINEERING – Home) in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Florida invites applications for a fully funded post-doctoral position. The Denard lab focuses on developing high-throughput tools to evolve and reprogram enzymes that catalyze post-translational modifications (PTM-enzymes), including proteases, kinases, and others.

The postdoctoral associate would be involved in several ongoing projects in the lab. One project is to discover modulatory proteins (antibodies, nanobodies, etc…) that can reprogram the activity of PTM-enzymes using a powerful high-throughput discovery platform. Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

The National High Magnetic Field Laboratory (MagLab) High B/T Facility in the Department of Physics at the University of Florida invites applications for a Postdoctoral Associate in Experimental Condensed Matter – low temperatures and high magnetic fields. Experience with experimental low-temperature techniques, especially with the operation of wet dilution refrigerators and with high magnetic field experiments, is preferred. The ideal candidate should also have experience with demagnetization cooling techniques and instrumentation development for research at low temperatures.

Primary duties of this position include supporting experiments at temperatures down to 1 mK and in magnetic fields up to 16 T, extreme environments which enable user research of novel quantum states and materials, and that require the simultaneous operation of dilution refrigerators and superconducting magnet systems. Dr. Brian Odegaard is seeking to hire a post-doctoral researcher to work in the Perception, Attention, and Consciousness Laboratory in the Department of Psychology at the University of Florida (UF).
