The laboratory of Aaron McGee at the Department of Translational Neurosciences is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to work on research projects focused on the mechanisms experience dependent plasticity within brain circuitry. This research will look at how this plasticity is regulated by known genes, how brain function and plasticity are disrupted in both neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders, and how neural plasticity is affected by psychoactive chemicals by psychoactive chemicals with in repeated in vivo calcium imaging and electrophysiology.

2. Postdoctoral Position 

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

The Dr. Kalin lab is recruiting a motivated postdoctoral fellow to study molecular mechanisms involved in tissue injury/repair and carcinogenesis. Several projects are available including, the role of endothelial cells and pericytes during lung injury and regeneration, the role of tumor micro-environments in cancer progression and metastasis, and the combination of radiation treatment with immune-checkpoint inhibitors in anti-cancer therapy. The positions will involve the use of animal models, human cell lines and cutting-edge technologies, including nanoparticle delivery systems and omics. These research projects have the potential to lead to new therapies which will then be tested in preclinical studies.
