The Landstrom Lab is accepting applications for an immediately available, full-time position with the lab for either a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow or Research Associate as a cellular electrophysiologist. This position is responsible for independently conducting electrophysiology experiments, primarily patch clamp-based, on mammalian cell lines, including mouse primary cardiac myocytes and induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiac myocytes (iPSC-CMs), with indirect supervision. Experience culturing and conducting electrophysiological experiments on immortalized mammalian cell lines (such as HEK293 cells) and isolating mouse primary cardiac myocytes using Langendorff perfusion is required. Individuals with previous experience with iPSC-CMs are strongly encouraged to apply. Successful applicants will be assigned to a dedicated patch clamp apparatus complete with data analysis equipment and software.
