4. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

The highly invasive behavior of malignant brain cancer cells is one of the main obstacles in glioblastoma (GBM). A postdoctoral position is available to study the role of axon guidance molecules in driving invasion and infiltrative growth of GBM cells. By combining genetic manipulations, in vivo transplantation models, transcriptomics, coupled with innovative microchannel devices and time-lapse videography, we aim at uncovering novel mechanisms underlying tumor cell migration and invasion into the brain. A novel aspect of our research is to investigate the role biomechanical factors in influencing mechanical plasticity and migratory potential of brain tumor cells.
