Perform research objectives of “Molecular and Ecological Studies on Enhanced Adaptation in Plant Polyploids” in a project funded by Stengl-Wyer endowment grants program. Responsibilities: Grow Arabidopsis suecica allotetraploids and their progenitors in field stations in BFL and Pickle Research Center in randomized plots. Collect tissues from plants prior to flowering for DNA and RNA extractions; construct RNA-seq, methylome-seq, and ATAC-seq libraries. Analyze genome-wide RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, and DNA methylome data by integrating phenotypic and physiological data. Organize and present data in a research paper and future grant proposal. The Texas Child Study Center, a collaboration of Dell Children’s Medical Center and the University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School is offering three full-time Pediatric Psychology Postdoctoral Fellowship positions for the 2022-2023 training year. Applicants may apply to one of our three primary training concentrations. Clinical training activities will take place within hospital, specialty care, and community-based primary care clinics provided by the Psychology Service at Dell Children’s Medical Center. Training and education for community stakeholders around mental health topics are delivered via webinars and in-person training around the community. Opportunities for state level presentations may also be available depending on the fellow’s interest. All rotations will be 12-month placements.

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowships:

This postdoctoral fellowship concentration takes place within the Dell Children’s Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics service, a specialty outpatient clinic that provides diagnostic evaluations, consultation, and therapeutic interventions for children with developmental and behavioral concerns. Primary referral concerns typically include autism, developmental delay, ADHD and follow-up for infants and children up to age 14 who are at risk for developmental delay due to premature birth or other perinatal events. Postdoctoral fellow will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to offer a multidisciplinary approach to the diagnosis and monitoring of children with neurobehavioral conditions such as ADHD, autism, speech/language disorders, dyspraxia and developmental delay. The clinic also provides developmental follow-up for NICU graduates and children with Down Syndrome.

The State of Texas Advanced Resource Recovery (STARR) project is looking for a postdoc capable to characterize the sedimentology, stratigraphy, paleoecology and geochemestry of the Strawn and Cisco groups in onshore Texas. The main objective is to develop new depositional models for mixed siliciclastic-carbonate systems and to refine the stratigraphic and chronostratigraphic correlation of onshore Strawn and Cisco groups to better assess energy resources within the State.
