2. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
The Schreiter lab is part of the Molecular Tools and Imaging research area at Janelia. We aim to develop molecular tools that enable new biology. We often apply directed evolution, structure-guided design, and high-throughput functional screening to arrive at molecules with new or improved function. We collaborate closely with biology labs at Janelia and elsewhere to demonstrate the utility of our tools in model organisms such as mice, zebrafish, and fruit flies, and use them to tackle important biological questions.

3. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
We are seeking postdoctoral associates to investigate how large populations of neurons perform complex computations. We collect and analyze recordings of 50,000+ neurons, developing machine learning tools to extract computational principles from these large-scale datasets. We welcome applications from various fields, with a preference for experimental neuroscientists and computational neuroscientists.

4. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
The Mitchell Lab at the University of Washington is seeking a driven and curious Postdoctoral Associate to join our group. The Mitchell lab focuses on understanding basic principles of host-pathogen interactions to address unmet challenges in infectious disease research. One of our primary areas of interest is focused on a class of innate immune sensors that form inflammasomes and deciphering how these sensors detect pathogens and influence host defense and pathogenesis.
Application Deadline: Open Until Filled
5. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
Our lab is part of the Mechanistic Cognitive Neuroscience department at Janelia. We seek to understand the mechanistic basis of social cognition. We do this by working to understand how rats classify and predict other rats’ actions and decide how to respond to them. We develop tools to make this possible and use these tools to reveal the neural basis of rodent social interaction in ethological settings.
Application Deadline: Open Until Filled
6. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
We are seeking a Postdoctoral Associate to work within the shared lab of HHMI Investigator Dr. Tobias Walther and his scientific partner Dr. Robert Farese at Sloan Kettering Institute/Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. The Farese & Walther Laboratory studies the mechanisms of lipid metabolism, storage and homeostasis. The lab uncovers the biochemical, physical and cell biological principles that cells use to store lipids and to determine how lipid balance and storage are maintained. The lab also studies how processes of lipid storage affect physiology and disease.

12. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
The Mendell laboratory is located in the Department of Molecular Biology at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. We are a diverse group of passionate scientists investigating broad questions in RNA biology. In particular, we are interested in understanding how genes are regulated post-transcriptionally, how noncoding RNAs such as microRNAs and long noncoding RNAs participate in these regulatory pathways, and how these pathways go awry in human disease. We use a variety of approaches and model systems to address these questions including high-throughput screens, animal modeling, and mechanistic studies including structural biology. We are seeking additional laboratory members who share our passion for RNA biology and are enthusiastic to join our tight-knit team.

14. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
We are currently seeking a Postdoctoral Associate within the lab of Dr. Kim Orth at UT Southwestern Medical School location. The Orth lab is interested in deciphering molecular mechanisms used for signaling by the host and pathogen. We are interested in elucidating the activity of virulence factors from pathogenic bacteria so that we can gain novel molecular insight into eukaryotic signaling systems. In the past, we have discovered mechanisms such as Ser/Thr acetylation, AMPylation, irreversible actin assembly, bacterial phosphoinositide-binding domain mimics, and pore-forming V-ATPase inhibitors. The marine bacterium Vibrio parahaemolyticus is the worldwide leading cause of seafood-borne acute gastroenteritis. For decades, this pathogen has been studied exclusively as an extracellular bacterium.
