Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

The West lab is relocating to The Jackson Laboratory and is seeking an independent, highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to lead a collaborative research program to investigate how mitochondrial genome instability shapes immune responses in the melanoma tumor microenvironment. The overall goals of our laboratory are to delineate how mitochondria function as central regulators of innate immune and inflammatory responses and to investigate how mitochondria-immune crosstalk contributes to disease and aging. Our laboratory pursues a multidisciplinary approach by integrating cell biology, immunology, and physiology using cutting-edge techniques including engineered mouse models, single-cell multi-omics, super-resolution imaging, and CRISPR-based cellular tools.

5. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

The Rosenthal and Korstanje Labs at the Jackson Laboratory (JAX) in Bar Harbor, Maine are seeking a Postdoctoral Associate to join their aging program focused on senescence. JAX is home to the Nathan Shock Center of Excellence in the Basic Biology of Aging, as well as the JAX Center for Aging Research, both led by Dr. Korstanje. Through the newly established JAX Cellular Senescence Network Mouse Tissue Mapping Center (JAX-Sen), led by Drs. Rosenthal and Korstanje, we are profiling senescent cells in kidney, placenta, pancreas, and heart, selected for their clinical relevance to chronic diseases of aging. These profiling activities will yield subcellular resolution of biomolecular content in senescent cells not possible with human samples, along with an expanded set of senescent cell biomarkers.

6. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

The Tarchini Lab at The Jackson Laboratory is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate to complete a team currently composed of two postdocs, one research assistant and rotating students or shorter term trainees. The laboratory focuses on cell polarity mechanisms and their impact on the morphogenesis of sensory “hair” cells in the mouse auditory and vestibular organs, including hearing and balance ability. We are particularly interested in discovering new protein complexes organizing and elongating the stereocilia bundle, the apical hair cell compartment capturing sound or head movements. We are also interested in understanding how these proteins respond to damage, and more generally, to ask whether the molecular machinery assembling the stereocilia bundle during development could be leveraged to regenerate these structures after injury. We are independently funded with two R01 grants from NIH.

9. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

We seek a computational biology postdoctoral associate to study transcriptome and epigenome heterogeneity in cancer initiation and aging. The Li Lab focuses on algorithm development and integrative mining from multi-omics data to determine how somatic mutations alter the blood cancer epigenome and gene regulation in the context of aging (Cancer Discovery, 2018; Science Advances, 2020; Cancer Discovery, 2020; Nature Communications, 2020). We also pioneered the rapidly growing field of transcriptomics and epigenomics (Nature Biotechnology, 2014; Genome Biology, 2014; Nature Medicine, 2016; Genome Biology, 2021).
