Summary of PhD Program:

The Information Coding Division (ICG) within the Department of Electrical Engineering (ISY) at Linköping University uses, among others, information theory to develop future-proof communication, identification, and computation methods for future (classical and quantum) networks. Our aim is to approach the ultimate security and privacy performance limits with low-complexity methods. Applications of these methods include physical layer security, private distributed learning, post-quantum cryptography, quantum communications, cybersecurity, security based on the unique features of hardware components, etc.

As a PhD student in FunMat-II, you will conduct application-inspired fundamental research on materials synthesis with physical vapor deposition (PVD) and materials behavior. The primary focus of this PhD student position is research on how to make large language models more trustworthy and factual.
