The Centre for Secure Information Technologies (CSIT) at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint six exceptional candidates to the posts of Research Fellow to perform research in the area of AI-enabled cybersecurity, called Cyber-AI. The posts are associated with the newly-created Cyber-AI Technologies Hub, where CSIT will collaborate with cyber security companies located in Northern Ireland on a minimum of seven research and development projects on AI-enabled cyber security. The Cyber-AI Technologies Hub is a physical environment where companies and academia can collaborate on the advancement and demonstration of AI and cyber security.

2. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
This position is for a postdoctoral researcher to work on a 3-year MRC-funded project to uncover the role of specific host proteins in rhinovirus replication, in a team led by Dr Aurelie Mousnier within the Wellcome-Wolfson Institute for Experimental Medicine. The team studies how rhinoviruses replicate in host cells, particularly focussing on the mechanisms by which host proteins enable the replication of these viruses. We identified specific host proteins that interact with rhinovirus non-structural proteins in infected cells and play an important role in the replication of the virus. This project will investigate the precise molecular mechanisms involved and validate key results in a human airway epithelium model. It will involve a range of virology and molecular cell biology/biochemistry techniques.

- Have or are about to obtain a PhD or equivalent qualification involving collection, analysis and synthesis of physical hydrological data using distributed numerical models to simulate rainfall runoff responses.
