Applications are invited for a PhD studentship, available from 1st October 2023 in the Biomedical Engineering Research team based at the school of Engineering at the University of Bolton. This project aims to develop a novel structure with combinations of properties for Tissue Engineering to develop the next generation of the medical devices. At Bolton we have developed the novel 3D structures and investigate multiscale structure in developing biological tissues such as bone. We translate this knowledge into the design of novel metamaterials with tailored structure to develop an artificial implant mimicking the natural structures.
