This position will be housed in the Administrative Core that is executed by the NIH/NIMHD funded Research Centers in Minority Institutions (RCMI) U54: HEALTH Center for Addictions Research and Cancer Prevention. The RCMI is advancing strategies for addressing health disparities in undeserved communities by translating scientific breakthroughs into culturally-informed and community-centered dissemination and implementation strategies.
We are looking for an employee with a demonstrated record of
- (1) qualitative or quantitative research expertise,
- (2) experience executing Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) or Community-Engaged Research (CER),
- (3) peer-reviewed publications, and
- (4) a commitment to health-equity science.
A strong candidate would work well with a diverse team in the execution of mixed-methods research being supported by a national center in addictions and cancer prevention. Necessary qualifications for success in this position are the capacity to execute qualitative or quantitative research projects, meticulous attention to detail in written work, the ability to multi-task between assignments (i.e. organizational skills), and excellent communication skills and cross-cultural abilities to be effective with diverse groups of colleagues and community members.
