The Maddox Lab is seeking a postdoctoral research fellow to work on multiple projects all related to human auditory neuroscience. The first project involves development of a new method for diagnosing hearing loss in infants. The second uses natural stimuli to study sound encoding in the human auditory system. Both projects will entail the collection of electroencephalography (EEG) data from human subjects, the analysis of those data, and disseminating the findings in journals and scientific conferences. Often new techniques will need to be developed. Additional duties include assistance with regulatory compliance, mentoring of junior trainees, maintenance and sometimes fabrication of lab equipment, and other general tasks that come with part of being in an active research lab.
