Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

The post-doc will study mechanisms of blood-forming stem and progenitor cell fate determination and alteration in disease. One of the main tasks of the post-doc will be to interrogate the contribution of lysosomes and their communication with mitochondria to the regulation of blood forming stem cells and their alteration in leukemia. The post-doc will also carry experiments to identify lysosomal receptors that are critical for stem cell dormancy. The highly motivated postdoc with a Ph.D. in biomedical sciences or related fields and a strong background in cell biology
both alone and in collaboration with other scientists will apply state-of-the art approaches in imaging, cell and molecular biology and biochemistry to fulfill these goals.

3. Postdoctoral Position 

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

Seeking creative and motivated postdoctoral research fellow to work in the laboratory of Praveen Raju, MD, PhD in the Department of Neurology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS) in New York City. The PIs translational research laboratory has a long-standing interest in mechanisms of pediatric brain tumorigenesis with a focus on developmental signal transduction pathways. Recent work has utilized novel drug delivery approaches to overcome the blood-brain barrier in order to target both brain tumor cells and cells of the tumor microenvironment. The International Suicide Genetics Consortium (ISGC) is the world’s largest resource for conducting genetic studies of suicidality, and aims to elucidate the genetic etiology of suicide outcomes through large-scale genome-wide association studies (GWAS).
