2. Fully Funded PhD Position in Polymer Technology

Summary of PhD Program:

As a doctoral researcher, you will work as a member of the very international research group of Plastics and Elastomer Technology at Tampere University. The work is focused on experimental research (processing and characterization of thermoplastics), statistical analysis of the results and communication of the output. The results will be disseminated in scientific peer-reviewed journals, international conferences, doctoral network events and events with industry. The tasks of doctoral researchers also include teaching duties that amount to approximately 5% of their annual working hours, unless there are justified reasons to the contrary.

3. Fully Funded PhD Position in Structural Mechanics

Summary of PhD Program:

Structural mechanics research group is now looking for a Doctoral Researcher to work in the “Towards sustainable and carbon free concrete construction” (ConSus) -project funded by the Research Council of Finland. The aim of the project is to develop meso- and macroscale material models for the mechanical behaviour of concretes where low-carbon cement will be used as a binder. The project is part of a consortium with Oulu University and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland.

4. 09 Fully Funded PhD Position in Social Sciences

Summary of PhD Program:

The Faculty of Social Sciences, Tampere University invites applications for nine (9) Doctoral Researcher positions. The duration of the employment may be from six months to four years. Selected Doctoral Researchers must begin work between 2 January to 3 June 2024.

The applicants selected in the positions will pursue a doctoral degree in one of the doctoral programs of Faculty of Social Sciences at the Tampere University. The expected duration of full-time studies is four years. Fixed-term employment contracts may be drawn up for a period of six months to four years; the length of the contract depends on the doctoral researcher’s current stage of studies and the expected graduation date. The position is directed primarily to those applicants who have not earlier received funding for doctoral dissertation for four years or more.
