The laboratory of Dr. Sarah Judge, Ph.D., has a funded postdoctoral position immediately available for a highly motivated, skilled, and independent researcher to take part in a basic and translational research project investigating novel mechanisms of cancer-induced cachexia. The project is funded by a grant from the National Cancer Institute and is focused on both tumor- and skeletal muscle-specific mechanisms that drive muscle loss in response pancreatic cancer. The project was developed from preliminary studies collected using patient samples and pre-clinical models of cancer, making the project highly translational. The successful candidate will also work closely with Dr. Andrew Judge, a long-standing research collaborator.

The UF/IFAS Forage Team is hiring a versatile post-doc, interested in assisting with research and extension programs in general, and of leading two projects on integrated crop-livestock systems. There are three main components for this project: soils, focused on soil carbon and nitrate leaching; agronomic, to evaluate the productivity of each system; and socioeconomic, which is the major component of it, involving qualitative research.
