Summary of PhD Program:
The aim of the presently available PhD-position is to develop and incorporate various lung adhesive moieties onto crosslinkable polymer backbones and perform analytical, rheological, tissue adhesive, and cytocompatibility studies on the resulting materials. After lead candidate selection, you will collaborate with a cell biologist from University Medical Centre Groningen to determine preclinical performance of the resulting adhesive biomaterial. We have a PhD position available in the area of Chemical Process Technology. In the project ReBBloCS, we will be working in a large consortium of many companies and several other universities in The Netherlands on converting waste into feedstocks for the the chemical industry. Summary of PhD Program:
In this PhD-project, you will focus on gaining a fine-grained understanding and measurement of real-time engagement with DMHIs, specifically focused on the relationship between the dimensions, both on an individual level and over time. This will be done by means of multiple studies. In lab studies that will be conducted in close collaboration with the BMS lab, technologies for eye-tracking, measuring heart rate variability and electro-dermal activity will be sued to measure engagement. Lab studies will focus on quantitative measures, but these data will be supplemented by qualitative data from e.g. interviews. Moreover, real world pilot studies using experience sampling methods (ESM) will be conducted to translate lab findings to real life. 9. Fully Funded PhD Position in Molecular neuromorphic devices for energy efficient computing
Summary of PhD Program:
Inspired by the incredible energy efficiency of our own molecular “supercomputer”, our brains, the aim of this project is to fabricate artificial neural networks based on molecule-polymer hybrid devices. The molecular hybrid structures exploit the dynamical behavior of such systems needed to create devices tailored for spike-timing dependent computing leading to energy efficient computing.
