Her research work and others have shown that B cell activation and microbial translocation precede the development of ARL, with elevated levels of biomarkers associated with B cell activation and microbial translocation seen prior to ARL diagnosis. Moreover, biomarkers of inflammation, B cell activation and microbial translocation are also associated with cancer prognosis.
