Research will mainly focus on FLASH radiotherapy, an innovative radiation modality, that has the potential to be implemented in clinical trials. Specifically, this will include conducting pre-clinical studies using mouse models to evaluate tumor response and acute/late normal tissue toxicity; working closely with the radiation biology and medical physics teams for experimental planning and execution; designing and implementing methods to characterize (gross observation, histological evaluation, molecular/genomic profiling) the impact of FLASH radiotherapy in vivo.
