The Markey Cancer Center Is recruiting a Postdoctoral Scholar that will be funded by a NIH grant. The group investigates underlying mechanisms that control colorectal cancer progression and metastasis as well as therapeutic resistance in the levels of both gene transcription and protein translation. We particularly focus on elucidating the mechanistic basis of redundancy and crosstalk among oncoprotein-activated signaling pathways in tumor growth and metastatic progression, characterizing gene/protein functions, and identifying the potential targets and pathways for development of new anticancer drugs and therapeutics.
