2. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
The School of Public Administration announces a vacant position for a postdoctoral fellow in the FORTE-funded research project “The materialization of changes – how built spaces drive, prevent and modify organizational changes in two Swedish university hospitals”. By studying how managerial ideas about reforming healthcare are received and reinterpreted by healthcare professions inside the hospitals, this project provides novel explanations to the well-known and recurring governance failures in healthcare management. The overall purpose of the research project is to explore how managerial strategies to reform public services by transforming built spaces are experienced, resisted, and negotiated by professions inside these organizational spaces.

4. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
The Institute of Medicine invites applications for a researcher position at the School of Public Health and Community Medicine. The researcher will work with research on common mental disorders, sickness absence and return to work. The researcher will provide expertise in occupational medicine, secondary prevention and rehabilitative measures aimed at people with mental illness. Specifically, the work is primarily focused on the project PRIME (a PRoblem-solving Intervention among Managers and Employees). PRIME is a randomized intervention study where effects of a secondary preventive intervention are studied regarding the effect on sick leave among employees at risk of being sick leave due to depression, anxiety or stress reactions.
Application Deadline: 2023-07-05

6. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
As a researcher, you will work with the collection, processing, systematization and analysis of preferably qualitative data in order to map the deportation of migrants in Europe. The role involves research both individually and in collaboration with other researchers at various universities in Europe. The work tasks may include some teaching (max. 20% of full-time). The work tasks include analysis of various types of documents, including policies, regulations and policy documents and final analysis of collected empirical data. Conducting qualitative interviews with different stakeholders in a European context may also be part of the tasks. The role includes identifying differences and similarities between local and national deportation practices in Europe.

8. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
In this project, the postdoc will work with industry and academic partners in the development of alternative fish feeds, improving the nutrient potential of aquaculture wastes for revalorisation. The postdoc will participate in research aimed at implementable improvements to nutrient and energy cycling in aquaponic facilities, as well as contribute to the understanding of the mechanisms underlying these improvements. There is considerable latitude to adjust this project to a candidate’s skills and interests.
Application Deadline: 2023-08-15
9. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
In this project, industry and academic partners will (or are working) work closely to make improvements in CEA designs using sensors that collect data for parameters such as pH, turbidity, temperature, oxygen-carbon dioxide concentrations. Sensor outputs need to be integrated with programmable automation controllers that adjust parameters such as flow rates and nutrient dosing. The use of machine learning and the ability to couple CEA systems with a digital twin for continuous and simultaneous sensor monitoring would make it possible to model and establish favourable environmental parameters.

10. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
Tietze lab is a part of the Wallenberg Centre for Molecular and Translational Medicine which conducts basic and clinical research in the fields of metabolism, neuroscience, cancer, inflammation, degenerative diseases, genomics and life science chemistry and composed of 27 research teams on Göteborg’s side which research is focused on important questions in medicine with a special interest in translation molecular medicine. Tietze lab focuses on bioinspired chemical engineering of peptide-based molecules/ materials towards diagnostics and drug delivery. My research team develops novel approaches with the goal of providing access to highly hydrophobic peptides/peptide mimetics, i.e. transmembrane peptides/proteins and venom-derived cysteine-rich peptides. We develop novel conjugation methods, explore SAR properties of novel bioactive peptides, and engineer peptide-based nanosensors.

12. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
The Department of Marine Sciences at the University of Gothenburg invites applications for a position as postdoctoral researcher within the theme microbial processes in oxygen depleted waters. Oxygen concentrations have been declining over the last decades in both coastal and open ocean systems, and further warming-related expansion of low oxygen regions is predicted. Deoxygenation changes carbon and nutrient cycling, influencing the production and consumption of greenhouse gases (N2O and CH4) that have pronounced feedback on climate. However, we lack a fundamental mechanistic understanding of how biogeochemical cycles respond to decreasing oxygen due to central technical challenges in obtaining representative metabolic rates and samples, and uncertainties in linking microorganisms to key processes. These shortcomings inhibit our ability to predict feedbacks between climate change, ocean productivity and biogeochemical cycles, which are required for informing policy decisions.
Application Deadline: 2023-07-30
