We are seeking two postdoctoral fellows to work with the Purdue Puentes Project (PPP) an NIMHD funded project examining the health, adjustment, and well-being of Latinx youth (ages 10-15) in rural and agricultural worker families in the Midwest. The Puentes Project is an interdisciplinary project co-led by Dr. Yumary Ruiz, Associate Professor in the Department of Public Health and Dr. Zoe Taylor, Associate Professor in the Department of Human Development and Family Science at Purdue University. This project aims to advance understanding of the risk factors that are detrimental to the health and well-being of youth in seasonal and agricultural families, to identify resilience processes that counteract salient life stressors, and to assess the effects of mobility on adolescent outcomes.

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

Applications are invited for position of Postdoctoral Research Associate to work with Dr. Bridgette Kelleher. Dr. Kelleher is an associate professor in the Department of Psychological Sciences, Principal Investigator of the Neurodevelopmental Family Lab, and Director elect of the Purdue Autism Research Center. Dr. Kelleher’s research uses telehealth-based methods to assess early development of children at risk for a variety of health outcomes, including autism. The candidate’s primary role will be to support Dr. Kelleher’s PANDABox project (Parent Assisted NeuroDevelopmental Assessment). PANDABox is a NIH-funded, open science protocol for remotely collecting laboratory-grade data from children at risk for atypical development via telehealth.

Postdoctoral position is open in the area of aerosol chemistry with focus on the chemical imaging of atmospheric particles collected in various field studies. Qualified candidate will work in a group Dr. A. Laskin at Purdue University on selected projects focused on comprehensive multi-modal offline analyses of particle composition, mixing state, size, and morphology. Elemental composition will be quantified using computer controlled scanning electron microscopy and X-ray microanalysis. The chemical bonding speciation of carbon, nitrogen, oxygen and sulfur in the individual particles will be probed using synchrotron-based scanning transmission X-ray microscopy.

The High Energy Physics Group at Purdue University has an opening for a postdoctoral research associate to work on the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment. The Purdue CMS group is consistently making crucial contributions in many aspects of CMS, including hardware, software, and physics analysis. The current physics analysis activities of the group include measurements of Standard Model (SM) processes, the search for new heavy gauge bosons, and the study of the Higgs boson. In addition, our group plays an active role in CMS tracker detector upgrade projects using in-house facilities to design, develop, build and test semiconductor detector modules and their support structures. We also operate a Tier-2 computer center, providing resources for data analysis both locally and as part of the CMS computing Grid.
