3. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
The Warren Lab (in the Department of Biology at Saint Louis University is seeking a postdoctoral research associate to join our team seeking to reveal the physiological mechanisms that enable animals to survive severe hypoxia and anoxia. This position is funded by a recent grant from the National Science Foundation (award #2421029) to carry-out studies of neurophysiological function and gene expression in the brain of anoxic turtles. Our lab has recently succeeded in culturing primary neurons from the cerebrocortex of turtles and demonstrated they possess a functional neuronal phenotype.
