Dr. Huang has a broad research interest within the realm of PET/MRI, and is seeking a highly motivated researcher with a desire to begin an independent career in imaging sciences. For this position, depending on the candidate’s specific expertise and experience, they could be working on developmental projects like deep learning based PET image reconstruction/denoising, sequence development, or applicational projects including PET and/or MRI image analysis, kinetic modeling, or clinical research projects including Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease. The Department of Radiation Oncology within the Emory University School of Medicine has a postdoctoral position available to utilize multi-omics applications (targeted proteomics, CRISPR screening, single-cell transcriptomics) to characterize novel factors involved in the maintenance of genome stability in physiological and pathological contexts. The individual in this position will work in the Orthwein lab at the Winship Cancer Center. The postdoc will be responsible for supporting Dr. Vasudevan with the implementation of the Chanjo Kwa Wakati (CKW) (meaning, “timely vaccination”) study. The CKW study aims to promote timely childhood vaccinations in two predominantly rural regions in Tanzania. The CKW study focuses on pregnant individuals and on mother-child dyads after delivery.
