The postdoctoral scientist will be working on projects studying sphingolipid neurotoxicity, specifically investigating: 1) the role of sphingolipid pathway in chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy and 2) mechanisms underlying sphingoid base-induced neurotoxicity in ataxia and other neurodegenerative diseases.
