2. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

The Miner laboratory studies the role of cytosolic nucleic acid sensors in rare diseases, antiviral immunity, autoimmunity, neurodegeneration, and DNA damage responses. In our laboratory, rare disease research is a starting point to define fundamental biological mechanisms. We also prioritize development of novel therapies for patients with rare monogenic diseases. This includes animal model studies using CRISPR/Cas9 prime editing, and our development of new technologies to study rare mutations in disease. We have discovered several new mechanisms of autoimmunity, antiviral immunity, neurodegeneration, and autoinflammation. We have 2 new R01s as well as private funding to support multiple postdocs. In the last year, we have papers published in Nature Communications and another currently in press at Cell, among other upcoming papers.

5. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

We seek a talented individual with strong drive and excellent communication skills to join our team in beautiful Philadelphia! We are looking to unravel the mechanisms underlying autoimmunity in rheumatoid arthritis (RA). We have recently identified a stem-like autoreactive T cell population with superior regenerative capacities in RA patients. You will take a deep dive into the mechanism and investigate if these self-reactive T cells seed and fuel autoimmune responses. As a postdoctoral researcher, you will have the unique opportunity to work with primary human samples, develop novel animal models, and collaborate with leading experts in the field.
