1. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

Postdoctoral fellow candidates are being considered for the laboratory of Dr. Christian T. Mayer at the Experimental Immunology Branch, National Cancer Institute, with a possible starting date in June 2025. The laboratory is investigating how different types of programmed cell death regulate the development, differentiation and/or function of various immune cells, with a particular focus on B lymphocyte development. Moreover, the group explores how these pathways contribute to self-tolerance, autoimmunity, inflammatory diseases, protective immunity and/or malignancies.

2. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

A postdoctoral position is available at the Genomic Stability and Metabolism group (PI: Urbain Weyemi, Ph.D.) within the Developmental Therapeutics Branch, CCR, NCI in Bethesda Maryland, starting November 2024. Our group aims to understand the dialogue between genomic instability and redox metabolism in cancer. We apply genomics and metabolomics tools to assess redox vulnerabilities in cancer cells. Our goal is to understand how cancer cells sense oxidative stress and overcome treatment with chemotherapeutic drugs targeting DNA damage response.

4. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

One postdoctoral position is immediately available with Dr. Andre Nussenzweig in the Laboratory of Genome Integrity, Center for Cancer Research (CCR), National Cancer Institute (NCI), National Institutes of Health (NIH) to study the mechanisms involved in DNA double-strand break repair, with a focus on understanding the influence of chromatin structure on the maintenance of genome integrity and their roles in a variety of cancers and neurodevelopmental disorders using cutting-edge cellular, molecular, and genomic tools.

5. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

We are recruiting a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to study the impact of RNA post-transcriptional modifications on gene expression and cell identity. Our laboratory aims to understand, at the molecular level, how interactions between cellular environment and the RNA epitranscriptome impact the RNA-centric regulatory networks that control cell identity, and how disruption of such pathways contribute to: 1) the establishment and proliferation of tumors; and 2) the development of resistance against therapeutic intervention.

6. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

A Postdoctoral position in neuroscience is available in the lab of Dr. Chuan Wu, Experimental Immunology Branch, National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, MD. The laboratory’s research interest focuses on how neuron-immune interactions regulate mucosal sensation for barrier integrity in health and disease. We seek to study how immune signaling participates in gut sensation and regulates gut-brain axis. We are also exploring new therapeutic approaches for patients with intestinal inflammation and related extraintestinal manifestations.

7. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

A postdoctoral position is available in the lab of Dr. Steven Cappell in the Laboratory of Cancer Biology and Genetics, National Cancer Institute. Dr. Cappell is interested in understanding how signal transduction networks are wired to form logical circuits and to understand how these networks function in space and time to regulate diverse aspects of human physiology. Our approach is to combine live-cell imaging of fluorescent biosensors in single cells with genetic and pharmacological perturbations to identify regulatory mechanisms of signal transduction pathways.

8. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

Multiple post-doctoral positions are available with Dr. Lisa Boxer in the Laboratory of Genome Integrity to study chromatin regulation of neuronal development. The Boxer lab uses molecular and genomic approaches to study how mutations in chromatin regulators disrupt neuronal gene expression and lead to neurodevelopmental disorders and cancer.
