2. Fully Funded PhD Position in Geochemical signatures of fluids in lavas from divergent plate boundaries

Summary of PhD Program:

This doctoral project (DC2) focuses on analyzing fluid geochemical signatures in lavas from active back-arc and ophiolitic environments. The candidate will develop expertise in geochemical analysis of melt and fluid inclusions, integrating new data with existing datasets and databases on in situ fluid trace element analysis. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in fundamental research in high-temperature geochemistry and petrology, with a particular focus on advancing analytical techniques in geochemistry. The University of Bremen and the GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel are involved in the project, and research stays there are anticipated.
