4. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

The Coon Lab is seeking talented and motivated postdoctoral scientists to join our team in the Cardiovascular Biology Research Program. Our newly established, NIH-funded lab offers state-of-the-art research space atop OMRF’s research tower. We are investigating the physiological relationship between vascular biomechanics and homeostasis and how disruptions in these processes contribute to vascular diseases such as malformations and dementia. As a multidisciplinary team, we welcome applicants from diverse scientific backgrounds. Following an initial review, selected candidates will be invited to explore projects that align with their scientific interests and technical expertise to address critical questions in vascular biology. Current research in the lab focuses on endothelial plasticity, two novel mouse genetic models of vascular malformations, and hemodynamic signaling pathways that regulate vascular growth and remodeling. These projects have the potential to be transformative in the field.
