1. PhD Position in Clinical Science

Summary of PhD Positions:

The project will focus on molecular and bioinformatics analyses of material from patients with Her2-positive breast cancers, enrolled in the PETREMAC clinical trial. Samples are subjected to whole genome sequencing, whole transcriptome sequencing, targeted methylation sequencing and a variety of immunohistochemical and molecular methods. Data will be used to model tumour cell and immune cell interactions before and during treatment and to assess subclonal tumour evolution during treatment. The interplay between immunogenic mutations in tumor cells, anit-Her2 therapy and attraction of immune cells will be assessed. The overall aim is to identify mechanisms of sensitivity and/or resistance to anti-Her2 treatment and to identify biomarkers for treatment efficacy.

The role of ocean temperatures versus sea ice will be investigated, including which dominates to impact the climate as the world continues to warm. The PhD project will rely on the analysis of available observations, reanalysis data, large ensemble simulations from climate models and numerical simulations to generate new knowledge on the mechanisms contributing to high-latitude warming and the global impacts of the new Arctic.

7. PhD Position in Informatics – (energy informatics, optimization and data science)

Summary of PhD Positions:

In recent years, supply chain and logistics observe increasing concerns on energy usage, climate gas emissions, wastes, and environmental considerations.
