The primary focus of our research is to employ molecular, cellular, preclinical approaches to understand the mechanisms related to gut-liver axis, bile acid homeostasis, and nutritional and immune response during gut and liver metabolism. Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
The Sandoval group at Tulane University is seeking applications for a post-doctoral research associate to work on a fast-paced, applied research project funded by the Dept. of Energy’s ARPAE ECOSYNBIO program aimed at bioenergy production through consumption of carbon dioxide. A description of the project can be found here. The postdoctoral researcher working in the Sandoval lab will conduct and coordinate experiments, serve as mentor to graduate students and undergraduate students involved in the project, attend regularly scheduled meetings, aid in the preparation of quarterly reports, and aid in the maintenance of essential laboratory equipment. The position is for 1 year, starting 1/23/23 with the potential for renewal dependent on performance and funding.
