6. Funded PhD Vacancy in  Writing, Learning and Teaching with Generative AI in STEM

Position Description:

On one hand, GenAI challenges traditional methods of learning and assessment, such as the take-home assignments or exams, which to a large extent can be delegated to GenAI technologies. On the other, GenAI tools such as chatbots and AI tutors are becoming embedded in everyday educational practices, altering how students read, write and learn, how educators teach, and how institutions assess and value student work. It is further an open question to what extent GenAI transforms STEM disciplines.

10. Funded PhD Vacancy in  Latent Thermal Energy Storage for Safe and Flexible Cooling Systems

Position Description:

The research explores how phase change materials that can store “cold” energy when they change between solid and liquid states can help make cooling systems more flexible and reliable. A large-scale pilot installation at DTU Campus for server room cooling will serve as a pilot for testing, control, and optimization of such latent thermal energy storage. This installation will be taken into operation in March 2026. To optimize the controllability of cold storage using phase change materials, a novel charge determination method (measurement of energy stored) will be developed in the laboratory.
