1. Fully Funded PhD Position in Neuromorphic Computing in Memristors
Summary of PhD Program:
As part of the Marie Curie ITN project REACT, KTH will focus on developing a memristor-based neuromorphic architecture, with particular emphasis on the BCPNN model pioneered at KTH. Other neuromorphic models will also be investigated. The PhD candidate will contribute to enhancing an existing simulation framework to validate memristor-based models in terms of functionality and accuracy, while also accounting for non-idealities and device variability. In addition, the candidate will develop memristor fabric fragments as SiLago blocks (“Silicon Lego bricks”) to enable rapid composition of memristor-based computational structures
Application Deadline: 28.Aug.2025
2. Fully Funded PhD Position in Machine Learning for Automated Code Generation
Summary of PhD Program:
The graduate school within WASP is dedicated to provide the skills needed to analyze, develop, and contribute to the interdisciplinary area of artificial intelligence, autonomous systems and software. Through an ambitious program with research visits, partner universities, and visiting lecturers, the graduate school actively supports forming a strong multi-disciplinary and international professional network between PhD-students, researchers and industry.

5. Fully Funded PhD Position in calculations of consumtion-based emissions
Summary of PhD Program:
Statistics on emissions of greenhouse gases from the Swedish consumption are calculated on a regular basis. The method, now implemented by Statistics Sweden, combine data from the Swedish System for Environmental and Economic Accounts, and an international Environmentally Extended Multi-Regional Input-Output Analysis (MRIO) model. The methods do however have some limitations and the overall aim of this project is to improve data and methods for calculating consumption-based emissions as well as testing the new methods in policy-relevant scenarios.
Application Deadline: 17.Aug.2025
6. Fully Funded PhD Position in efficient use of space and climate impact
Summary of PhD Program:
The starting point of this project is that there is a need to reduce the emissions of greenhouse gases. One big source of such emissions is construction of new buildings. A more efficient use of buildings could reduce the need for new build. With the quick development and implementation of digitalisation, new opportunities for efficient use of buildings appear, but there is a large variation in how to implement space use sharing in various types of buildings. In this project, the intention is to look at sports facilities, student housing, mixed use buildings and offices and identify similarities and differences when it comes to sharing challenges.
Application Deadline: 17.Aug.2025
7. Fully Funded PhD Position in Quantum Matter
Summary of PhD Program:
As a PhD student in the Quantum Materials group, you will have the opportunity to participate in our project focused on the study of superconductors. The project is funded by the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation and the goal is to develop and apply a new spectroscopic technique to study superconductors. You will work together with other PhD students, postdocs and researchers and also have the opportunity to participate in other research projects within the group. The work is conducted locally at KTH as well as at national and international large-scale research facilities.

8. 02 Fully Funded PhD Position in Human-AI interaction for autonomous vehicles
Summary of PhD Program:
Autonomous transportation poses a host of human-machine interaction challenges, both from the perspectives of passengers, pedestrians, fleet managers. This doctoral project will unfold in the emerging field of human-AI interaction where there are a host of challenges emerging from the very theoretical foundations of Human-Computer Interaction and AI respectively. The position is funded by the highly successful initiative “StandUp for Energy”, a multi-disciplinary environment where we at Human-Centred Technologies focus on user interfaces for Electric vehicles, which we expect to be fully autonomous in the medium term.
Application Deadline: 15.Aug.2025
9. Fully Funded PhD Position in Large Language Model inferencing
Summary of PhD Program:
The advertised doctoral student position are within an ambitious, 5-year Wallenberg Scholar project titled “Scalable and adaptive inferencing for democratizing AI. In this 18 Million SEK project, we want to dramatically reduce the cost and power for serving large language models such as ChatGPT. and The project page, with our early publications, is available at: More project information and information on the project page with our early publications. The work will primarily entail design, implementation, and evaluation of distributed systems and networks for machine learning inference. Applying machine learning concepts, with the goal of devising agentic frameworks, will also be a part of the project.
