Are you holding PhD degree and looking for Postdoctoral Fellowships? University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland invites multiple online application for Postdoctoral Fellowships in various research areas. Candidates interested in Postdoctoral Fellowships can check the details and may apply as soon as possible.
1. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
A postdoctoral position is available to isolate bacterial/viral (both human and animal) pathogens using both traditional culture and molecular techniques and develop and validate natural antimicrobials against the isolated bacterial pathogens and improve animal health and immunity to prevent colonization of bacterial and/or viral pathogens. Ongoing project is focused on the maintaining the animal research facility, specifically poultry, housing and raising, health and behavior monitoring, challenged with pathogenic bacteria/virus and their colonization ability, pathogens, measuring the immunity, and compare the gut microbiome composition between treated (with natural antimicrobial) and non-treated groups. In addition, candidates need to generate bacterial mutants by adding or deleting bacterial genes.

2. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
Andrew Broadbent, DVM, PhD, in the department of Animal and Avian Sciences at the University of Maryland (UMD), College Park, is recruiting a postdoctoral research associate to join his lab, which focuses on avian viruses. We are seeking a highly motivated and creative individual to work on projects that aim to define the molecular basis underpinning the mechanism of viral-induced immunosuppression, and how viral-induced immunosuppression in domestic poultry influences the pathogenicity, evolution, and transmission of opportunistic infections.

3. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
The University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Computer Studies (UMIACS) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Associate Candidate to apply. This postdoc will perform research on 3D scene reconstruction, novel view synthesis and inverse rendering, building on state of the art techniques such as neural radiance fields, Gaussian splatting and differentiable rendering. In addition to independent research, collaboration on and contributions to larger projects is expected. The postdoc will participate in internal reading groups, seminars and meetings to contribute to research activities in our team.
Application Deadline: Open Until Filled
4. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
UMIACS invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellowship focused on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in computer systems and high-performance computing (HPC), and accelerating AI using HPC systems. This position offers an opportunity to research the intersection of computer systems, HPC and AI. The selected candidate will join Dr. Bhatele’s research group and work closely with Dr. Goldstein’s group.

5. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
The Postdoctoral Research Associate will work with the Bioenergy and Biotechnology Laboratory, led by Dr. Stephanie Lansing (https://agnr.umd.edu/about/directory/stephanie-lansing) at the University of Maryland in the Department of Environmental Science & Technology researching food diversion through life cycle assessment (LCA), techno-economic analysis (TEA), and policy analytics. The Postdoctoral Research Associate will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team that is developing an app for food diversion. The Postdoctoral Research Associate will oversee adding greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions values for diversion strategies (donation, animal feed, composting, and anaerobic digestion) compared to landfilling of food waste and incorporate economic value to food diversion, including state and local tax incentives and relevant state policies.
