We are looking for a skilled and highly motivated postdoctoral scholar with expertise in biochemistry, cell biology, structural biology, biophysics or related areas to conduct cutting-edge research on several projects focused on the role of actin binding proteins (e.g., plastins) and actin-specific bacterial toxins in the pathogenesis of human hereditary and infectious diseases, and cancer. Both, plastin and toxin projects relate to the mechanotransduction/mechanosensing properties of the actin cytoskeleton.
