2. Fully Funded PhD Position in Solar System Science
Summary of PhD Program:
The Solar System School is open to students from all countries and offers an international three-year PhD program in an exceptional research environment with state-of-the-art facilities on the Göttingen Campus. Successful applicants will be offered a 3,5-year doctoral support contract with remuneration dependent on TVöD (75% E13) according to the German public salary scale, as well as postdoc wrap-up funding.

Summary of PhD Program:
The research fellow will conduct legal research (contribution to common research projects and own publications), particularly in the field of public international law with particular emphasis on global animal law or international law and emotions. Candidates are expected to write a dissertation (PhD thesis) in one of the aforementioned fields of research. Candidates must be able to fulfil the requirements for enrolment at the law school of Heidelberg or the law department of the Freie University (Berlin) or the law school of Basel and are themselves responsible for securing those. 5. Fully Funded PhD Position in Molecular and Cellular Effects of Toxin Resistance Mutations
Summary of PhD Program:
The project aims to elucidate the effects that resistance-producing mutations have on protein function and cell physiology. You will address this goal by combining the functional characterization of recombinant proteins with assays of transgenic cells in an experimentally defined framework. You will have the option to apply this approach to examine the evolution of cardiotonic steroid resistance in several predator species, including snakes, frogs, birds, and mammals. You will measure the effects that mutations have on protein function, cell signaling, and cellular homeostasis. The data obtained will allow you to correlate the gene-, protein, and cell-level consequences and benefits of cardiotonic steroid resistance.

6. 12 Fully Funded PhD Position in Ageing Research
Summary of PhD Program:
We offer up to 12 fully funded PhD positions to highly motivated and talented researchers. The structured PhD training programme within a cutting-edge research environment will start on an individual basis between July 1 and October 1, 2025. The initial contract is limited to three years. Payment is based on the German TV-L E13 scale, 65% if terms and conditions under collective bargaining law are fulfilled or on an equivalently remunerated PhD support contract of the Max Planck Society.
