3. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

The Chi lab investigates immunobiology, immunometabolism and cancer immunology, by focusing on metabolic regulation of the immune system and the therapeutic impacts on cancer and other diseases. As metabolic pathways are inextricably connected to immunity and cancer, understanding these connections allows us to gain new insights into biological concepts and disease targets. We are particularly interested in investigating the metabolic programs (e.g. amino acid and lipid metabolism), signaling pathways (e.g. mTOR and nutrient signaling), and systems-level regulatory networks that regulate basic T cell and dendritic cell biology and antitumor immunity.

4. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

Drug toxicity and resistance are the leading causes of therapeutic failures. The Chen Lab studies: (1) the chemical regulation of nuclear xenobiotic receptors, (2) the mechanism of selective modulation of highly homologous drug-metabolizing enzymes. We are taking a hypothesis-driven and technology-enabled multidisciplinary approach to develop chemical probes, investigate biological mechanisms, and evaluate in vivo efficacy.

5. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative candidate for a fully supported postdoctoral fellowship to develop immune-based therapies. Specifically, the research is aimed to develop cell-based immunotherapies for pediatric tumors. Studies are focused on using genetic engineering approaches to not only render immune cells cancer specific, but also improve their effector function. Genetically modified immune cells will be studied in preclinical models with special emphasis on how adoptively transferred cells interact with tumor cells, the tumor microenvironment, and resident immune cells.

6. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

The Obeng Laboratory is seeking creative and highly motivated candidates for a fully supported postdoctoral fellowship studying the pathogenesis of myeloid malignancies. The major interests of the lab are determining how acquired mutations in hematopoietic stem cells lead to the development of pre-leukemic conditions including clonal hematopoiesis of indeterminate potential (CHIP) and myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). Our ultimate goal is to identify and validate novel treatments that selectively target malignant clones and prevent their transformation into myeloid leukemias.

14. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

Our lab is interested in the control and regulation of intratumoral heterogeneity within pediatric cancers. In prior work, we have developed tools and methods to map the cellular diversity of pediatric tumors by adapting single-cell sequencing techniques to archival frozen tumors. In that work, we identified powerful developmental patterns that drive malignant cell state diversity. In rhabdomyosarcoma, we have identified key cell states that are drug-tolerant and drive recurrence. In current projects, we are working to elucidate how individual cell state identities are dynamically regulated during therapy and metastasis.
