2. Postdoctoral Position 

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

A postdoctoral position is available in the Wu lab at Fox Chase Cancer Center in the field of structural biology and protein biochemistry. Teh Wu lab focuses on structural and mechanistic studies of the signaling events mediated by integrins, small GTPases, and kinases, as well as development of inhibitor and/or drug that target these events. The lab is equipped with state-of-the-art instruments, including a Mosquito robot, a Formulatrix crystal imager, and a brand-new Synergy-S X-ray home source. We also have frequent beamtimes at BNL and MacChess synchrotrons. The ideal candidate for the position should hold a Ph.D. with strong expertise in X-ray crystallography and are also expected to be experienced in construct design, protein expression and purification. Prior experience in mammalian cell culture, cell signaling, flow cytometry, and cancer biology is desired but not required.

3. Postdoctoral Position 

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

An Immunology Postdoctoral position is available immediately in the lab of David Wiest at Fox Chase Cancer Center. My lab has a longstanding history of investigation into the molecular mechanisms controlling lymphoid development and transformation. We have the following exciting projects available:

  • Analysis of the molecular control of γδ T cell lineage development and function, with the ultimate goal of using genome editing to enhance function in immune-oncology.
  • Investigation of the regulatory functions of ribosomal proteins in controlling hematopoietic development and transformation.
  • Elucidation of novel domain-specific functions of ERK in cancer etiology and immune function.
  • Solving the molecular etiologies of human immunodefiiency. In pursing these projects, we exploit genomic and proteomic approaches, as well as genome editing.

5. Postdoctoral Position 

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

The Torres-Ayuso lab works to identify new targets and mechanisms of therapy resistance in SCC; concretely, the lab is studying protein kinases that are dysregulated in LSCC and HNSCC. Our research goals are (1) to understand the mechanisms by which these protein kinases contribute to LSCC and HNSCC progression and (2) to validate these kinases as therapeutic targets using pre-clinical models of LSCC and HNSCC. To accomplish these goals, my lab will utilize a multidisciplinary approach involving functional genomics, chemical biology, proteomics, and molecular and cellular assays to identify and study novel cancer-associated kinases in SCC.
