3. Fully Funded PhD Position in Mobility Data

Summary of PhD Program:

We are working on one of the most important challenges of our time: The CASE megatrends (Connected, Autonomous, Shared, Electric) are fundamentally changing human mobility. In the future, we must rely more heavily on digital, sustainable, and shared solutions to meet our transport demand. As one of the 14 future clusters of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, MCube is designed to implement these megatrends in metropolitan areas.

4. Fully Funded PhD Position in Evolution of Chemoreception in Parasitoids

Summary of PhD Program:

The PhD candidate will investigate the chemoreception networks involved in CHC perception, particularly in the context of prezygotic reproductive isolation within a species complex of parasitoid wasps (Nasonia). Our previous research has already deciphered the patterns of sexual attractiveness in Nasonia CHC profiles. Expanding on this foundation, the PhD candidate will employ a suite of advanced techniques—single-sensillum recording (SSR), gas-chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC-MS), electro-antennographic detection (EAD), RNAi knockdowns, and behavioral olfactometer assays—to elucidate how divergence in CHC perception has potentially contributed to prezygotic reproductive isolation.

7. Fully Funded PhD Position in Generative Engine Optimization

Summary of PhD Program:

Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) is an emerging practice that aims to increase a brand’s visibility in content generated by AI models – much like SEO does for traditional search. As AI-powered “answer engines” (eg ChatGPT, Google’s Search Generative Experience) gain popularity, users increasingly get direct, synthesized answers instead of just links. This shift requires content creators and businesses to adapt.
