3. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

The successful candidate will have a key role in a multi-disciplinary team of wet-bench and computational researchers working to revolutionize cancer detection and treatment by developing novel genomic technologies. The candidate will work closely with bench scientists to draft the initial computational workflows to analyze new experimental data. Developing a relationship of feedback and understanding between the bench and the computer is essential to work of our groups. Rather than building a single pipeline to analyze a set of standardized data, our computational scientists routinely develop custom algorithms that shape the protocol development and design. For candidates eager to obtain cross-discipline experience, this position is an opportunity to learn from a group with substantial expertise in both computational and molecular biology.

4. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

The Westcott Laboratory at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory is seeking applications for postdoctoral candidates to carry our experimental and/or computational work aimed at understanding how cancer coevolves with the immune system in mouse models and clinical colorectal cancer specimens. The research program will involve modeling cancer clonal evolution under different immunogenic contexts in powerful new mouse models we have developed, and will incorporate cutting-edge techniques in multiomics and spatial biology, for which the lab has recently obtained funding.

5. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

A unique opportunity is available in the Van Aelst and Lukey groups at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) for a highly motivated and creative postdoctoral researcher, with strong experimental and analytical skills, to investigate metabolic interactions in the brain tumor microenvironment. You will become part of a multidisciplinary team of basic researchers studying glioma-host cell interactions, using integrative techniques from metabolomics, biochemistry, and neuroscience to dissect the bi-directional metabolic exchange processes that support tumor growth and suppress the anticancer immune response.

7. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

The Trotman Lab at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory is seeking applications for postdoctoral candidates with a strong background in neurobiology. We study lethal metastatic cancer. The project aims to define how peripheral nerves in the metastatic tumor environment interact with cancer cells and affect progression, therapy and disease outcome. The team uses a genetically engineered model of metastatic prostate cancer in a native, immune competent environment (see PMIDs: 24444712, 25829425 and 31092557). Recently, they developed whole organ 3D imaging at single cell resolution of the disease (PMID 34788609). This now allows them to map and functionally probe the neuro-metastatic interface (reviewed in 32302564). The work is a close collaboration with the Borniger Lab at CSHL studying brain body communication in cancer (see PMID 31174326).

9. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

The Martienssen laboratory at Cold Spring Harbor has an opening for a postdoctoral fellow to study the mechanisms of epigenetic inheritance in fission yeast and mammalian cells, recently funded by the National Institutes of Health. RNA interference impacts inheritance and genome stability by silencing of repeats, as well as by non-canonical means, and successful applicants will explore the role of epigenetic modifications, phase separation and transcription-replication conflict in different developmental and cell cycle contexts. State-of-the art equipment and facilities are available both within the lab and in outstanding shared facilities.
