The Tulane University Economics Department and Education Research Alliance for New Orleans invite applications for a postdoctoral position in the Economics of Education to begin in fall 2024. The successful candidate will conduct and publish original research related to topics such as charter schools and school vouchers. In partnership with Tulane’s Murphy Institute of Political Economy, we invite applications from candidates who will receive a Ph.D. in Economics or Public Policy by fall 2024. In addition to carrying out research on the above topics, the successful candidate will teach one course at the undergraduate level annually and is expected to participate actively in research, seminars, and other activities at the Economics Department and the Murphy Institute.

The Asian Studies Program at Tulane University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Associate position that bridges divisions across Asian Studies and Asian American Studies. 4. Postdoctoral Position 

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

We currently have a postdoctoral research position open for qualified candidates who have experience in polymer synthesis. We are looking for an individual who can synthesize and then effectively analyze the properties of their engineered crosslinked polymers. This will involve problems at the interface with supramolecular chemistry and polymers. Previous knowledge will be useful including corroborating the ratio of rotaxanes in the polymeric systems and confirming the crosslinking of poly(ethylene glycols). These characterization techniques will be both in solution (for some portion) and in solid phase. Experience in mentoring undergraduate/graduate students, leading lab safety efforts, and demonstrated laboratory leadership, will be considered favorably. The Social Memory Lab, directed by Dr. Ben Deen, is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow. The lab studies social perception, cognition, and memory, with the goal of characterizing the cognitive and neural basis or our ability to understand other people. We use behavioral and neuroimaging (fMRI) methods in humans, with a focus on precision imaging of functional organization in individual brains. The Center for Inter-American Policy and Research (CIPR) at Tulane University seeks visiting research fellows for the 2024-2025 academic year. The Center supports empirical research in the fields of international relations, international political economy, comparative politics, political sociology, and policy studies. Latin American expertise and Spanish or Portuguese fluency are required. The Newcomb Institute of Tulane University is seeking a postdoctoral fellow in women’s history for the 2024-25 academic year (July 1, 2024-June 30, 2025). We invite applicants whose research is intersectional and engages with priority interest areas of our Institute, including women and politics, feminist social and political movements, gender-based violence, and/or sexual and reproductive health and rights. The Early Psychosis Intervention Clinic New Orleans (EPIC-NOLA) is recruiting for a one-year clinical psychology fellowship position expected to start in January 2024.
