The candidate will lead projects on human immunology recently funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the National Institutes of Health in the Ghosn Lab (www.ghosnlab.science). The candidate will have access to state-of-the-art technologies on multi-omics single-cell sequencing assays, and Hi-D flow cytometry. The project is focused on human B cells and antibody-secreting cells (or plasma cells), using donor samples and in vivo and ex vivo models. The results from your project should provide new insights into the development and function of the human immune system in infants and adults and impact the development of new vaccines targeted to either children or adults. In addition, your studies will shed light on the mechanisms that lead to autoimmunity and other hematological disorders that are predominant at different developmental ages.
