Candidates interested in Postdoctoral Fellowships can check the details and may apply as soon as possible.
1. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
The Krishnan Lab in the Genes & Human Disease Research Program at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation is seeking a highly motivated and independent individual to join their team. The Krishnan Lab studies the evolutionary mutant model organism – Astyanax mexicanus or the blind cavefish – to better understand human metabolic diseases such as diabetes and obesity. An ideal candidate will be experienced in the study of glucose and fat metabolism, mitochondrial biology, and/or oxidative stress. Experience in molecular biology techniques including ATAC-seq and ChIP-seq will be a plus. Prior work with fish as a model system is not required.
Application Deadline: Open Until Filled
2. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
The James and Guthridge labs are hiring two Assistant/Associate/or full Staff Scientists to design and conduct research experiments; prepare reports presentations and manuscripts for publication; assist with grant writing; oversee and/or manage research projects, summarize and present results, as well as guide/lead graduate students, postdocs, and lab staff; may manage staff. Knowledge of the principles and practices of scientific theory and research; principles of immunology demonstrates skill in formulating and testing hypotheses; ability to conduct scientific research experiments; to analyze and summarize data and results; to write technical, scientific papers; to write grants and to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; to mentor students and guide/direct the work of less senior scientists.

3. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
Join our dynamic team in a well-funded research group in the Oklahoma Autoimmunity Center of Excellence and Oklahoma Autoimmune Disease Prevention Center. We are focused on identifying and characterizing mechanisms of autoimmune disease onset and flare, including regulatory immune mechanisms. Dr. Judith James (james.omrf.org) is seeking a Post-Doctoral Fellow with a strong immunology background to be part of the team working to understand mechanisms of autoimmune disease onset and progression in humans by leveraging the extensive resources and data available from our well characterized clinical cohorts. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team with synergistic skills and experiences and will be given the opportunity to develop projects that complement the overall directions of the group.

8. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
The Nath Lab is seeking a highly motivated, self-driven, hardworking, and organized team player to join our efforts as a Postdoctoral Scientist or Assistant Staff Scientist in understanding the genetic mechanisms of lupus, an autoimmune disease. Using whole genome searches, the Nath Lab has identified several genes and genetic variants associated with lupus susceptibility. They are also following up on several genetic loci with experiments to understand the specific functional effects of these lupus-associated genetic variants, using cell lines and patient-derived primary immune cells or tissues. This involves applying various modern techniques for studying features of three-dimensional (3D) genomic organization, such as 3C, Hi-C, ChIP-Seq, and genome editing using CRISPR/Cas9.
