6. Fully Funded PhD Position in Compositional Footwear analysis: Compositional Analysis and optimized treatment Pathways

Summary of PhD Program:

This PhD opportunity is part of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network SCARPA, a European training network committed to circularity and sustainability in the footwear industry. Through advanced experimental work and modeling, you will help uncover how the composition of shoes will affect the circularity potential, and advice for further improvements. Your research will directly support the transformation of the footwear sector toward safer, more sustainable practices, while equipping you with advanced interdisciplinary skills and international research experience.

7. Fully Funded PhD Position in AI Controlled Combustion Engine – Closed Loop Combustion Control

Summary of PhD Program:

The AI controlled engine will rely on closed loop combustion control. The exact realms of the combustion modes will change with engine conditions but also with the fuel. As an example, ethanol can easily be used with CI and PPC at high load where knock will severely limit SI operation. However, at low load CI combustion cannot be used but SI works well.
