You will work in the stimulating research environment of the Wallenberg Centre for Quantum Technology (WACQT, http://wacqt.se). The core project of the centre is to build a quantum computer based on superconducting circuits. You will be part of the Quantum Computing group in the Quantum Technology Laboratory (QTL) division of the Microtechnology and Nanoscience (MC2) department, working in a large team of PhDs, postdocs and researchers.

Summary of PhD Program:
This PhD project focuses on strengthening network security for large-scale distributed AI training. As training increasingly spans multiple data centers connected over wide-area networks, it introduces new and underexplored vulnerabilities to network-based threats. 5. Fully Funded PhD Position in Reduction of brake wear emissions from urban heavy-duty transport
Summary of PhD Program:
You will work in the project “Reduction of brake wear emissions from urban heavy-duty transport”, financed by the Swedish Energy Agency (FFI). The upcoming Euro 7 legislation broadening the scope from only tail-pipe emissions to include also brake wear emissions. There are many knowledge gaps to reach a zero-emission transport sector. An interdisciplinary approach is needed including automotive, material, aerosol, chemistry, medicine and policy instruments. The current project includes several research groups (Dynamics, Vehicle Engineering and Autonomous Systems) and industry (AB Volvo, Haldex AB) and will also collaborate with other universities and industries.

Summary of PhD Program:
The purpose of this project is to contribute to the development of an ultra-efficient aeroengine with reduced weight and utmost fuel efficiency by delivering a novel outlet stage design with an overall efficiency that was never achieved before. The novel ultra-short design will also benefit from 3D-optimized end-walls provided by additive manufacturing (AM). The project outcome will solve the urgent need for CO2 reduction from air traffic.
