Are you holding PhD degree and looking for Postdoctoral Fellowships? Jackson Laboratory, California invites multiple online application for Postdoctoral Fellowships in various research areas. Candidates interested in Postdoctoral Fellowships can check the details and may apply as soon as possible.
1. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
The JAX RDTC leverages JAX’s unique research environment and resources to translate biological discovery into clinical action. We work directly with foundations and their associated teams of basic science and clinical researchers to understand the molecular underpinnings of disease symptoms, identify pathways that can be targeted therapeutically, and assess the safety and efficacy of candidate drugs and therapies in biologically accurate mouse models of disease. This position is an exciting opportunity to work directly with the RDTC in supporting this mission.
Application Deadline: Open Until Filled
2. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Scientific Investigator to join our team of scientists with the JAX Rare Disease Translational Center (RDTC) This role will be the lead technical scientist in nucleic acid therapeutics design and development. The successful candidate will provide technical design and scientific expertise, work with external manufacturing organizations, lead an independent research program in rare disease therapeutic development, and drive translational science to bring new therapeutics to the clinic. Reporting to the VP, RDTC, this role requires a deep understanding of generating and testing oligonucleotide therapeutics for preclinical efficacy and pharmacology studies, clinical trials and commercialization.

3. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
The research projects will focus on NK cell immunotherapy for chronic viral infection and cancers. Specifically, studies designed to investigate NK cell responses to HIV or solid tumors. The long-term goal of this project is to develop memory NK cell-based immunotherapies to prevent or cure these diseases by targeting immunosuppressive cells or pathways present in both diseases. This work will be performed using in humanized mice with a competent immune system and human specimens.

4. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
The labs of Gareth Howell and Senior Research Scientist Michael Sasner at The Jackson Laboratory in Bar Harbor, Maine are seeking a postdoctoral fellow to investigate the role of genetic risk factors for Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Of relevance to this position, Drs. Sasner and Howell are two of the leads on MODEL-AD (Model Organism Development and Evaluation of Late-onset AD), an NIA-funded consortium charged with developing improved mouse models of AD for preclinical testing. Drs. Sasner and Howell lead the Disease Modeling Project, which is responsible for creating novel mouse models expressing AD-relevant genetic risk factors and using translationally-relevant assays (e.g. fluid biomarkers, neuropathology, and multi-omics) to characterize disease progression.

6. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
The Tarchini Lab at The Jackson Laboratory is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate to complete a team currently composed of two postdocs, one research assistant and rotating students or shorter term trainees. The laboratory focuses on cell polarity mechanisms and their impact on the morphogenesis of sensory “hair” cells in the mouse auditory and vestibular organs, including hearing and balance ability. We are particularly interested in discovering new protein complexes organizing and elongating the stereocilia bundle, the apical hair cell compartment capturing sound or head movements.

7. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
The Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine seeks a talented Postdoctoral Associate with a background in bioengineering and a keen interest in biological research. Led by Sasan Jalili and Paul Robson, with technical guidance from a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to independent and collaborative research projects. These projects will entail the creative utilization of 3D bioprinting, leveraging the state-of-the-art bioprinting facilities at JAX. This will involve using patient-derived organoids and cell lines to replicate both healthy and diseased human organs. Additionally, the bioprinting work will be partially integrated with organ-on-chip platforms, contributing to the advancement of functional organ-level tissues.

8. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
Our research goals are to: i) define the molecular pathways that regulate splicing factors in normal and cancer cells, as well as during cell differentiation; ii) uncover causal splicing alterations in breast tumors; and iii) identify splicing factors and spliced isoforms which could be used as biomarkers to predict disease progression or drug-response, or as targets for RNA-based therapeutics. Our research uses 3D cell culture models, mouse models including patient-derived xenograft, as well as large clinical datasets, and leverages cutting-edge approaches such as RNA-targeting CRISPR, short- and long-read RNA-sequencing, and single-cell approaches, to decipher the role of spliced isoforms and their regulators.
