Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

The Department of Prevention and Community Health at George Washington University’s (GWU) Milken Institute School of Public Health invites applications for a postdoctoral fellow in the area of adolescent sexual health. The Parents and Adolescents Talking about Healthy Sexuality (PATHS) study is a randomized controlled trial (RCT) of a parent-focused HIV prevention intervention designed to reduce HIV risk and improve sexual health outcomes among sexual minority adolescent boys. For the trial, we have collected data from 350 parent-teen dyads who are assessed every three months over the course of a year.

4. Postdoctoral Position 

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

We are currently accepting applications for two positions with appointments to begin between January and June 2025. The positions are temporary research training positions, to last for a minimum of 2 years, in which the fellow plays a substantive role in planning and conducting research by designing and conducting studies in an area relevant to primary care. The Lab is seeking an energetic, motivated Postdoctoral Associate to join our team in the Department of Anesthesiology. The main goal of the Polotsky Lab is to find novel treatments for cardiovascular and respiratory complications of obesity and sleep disordered breathing. Postdocs will design, organize and conduct specialized and advanced experiments using established scientific protocols, troubleshoot and design new protocols, summarize findings and publish results in research journals, under the general supervision of a faculty member. The Department of Environmental & Occupational Health is seeking to fill a Postdoctoral Associate position for the research group of Professor Susan Anenberg, Assistant Research Professor Dan Goldberg, and Assistant Research Professor Gaige Kerr. The group’s main interests are quantifying health impacts of air pollution and climate change from local to global scales using satellite data and model simulations, including developing scientific methods and evaluating policy scenarios for mitigation. Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

A position for a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Associate (PA) is available in Dr. Lee’s lab. Lee lab is focused on understanding molecular regulatory signaling networks for cancer metabolism, which further plays an important role in the development of novel cancer therapeutics. The Lee lab research tools include mammalian cancer cell lines, 3D organoid, xenografted tumor and patient-derived xenograft models. And the Lee lab uses various cellular and molecular biology techniques. This position will primarily conduct cancer research focused on metabolic alteration in cancer cells using in vitro cell experiments and in vivo mouse models, collect and analyze data independently and/or with collaboration with other researchers such as PI, research associates, and students, in a controlled laboratory setting.
