Are you holding PhD degree and looking for Postdoctoral Fellowships? University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania invites multiple online application for Postdoctoral Fellowships in various research areas. Candidates interested in Postdoctoral Fellowships can check the details and may apply as soon as possible.
1. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
We seek a talented individual with strong drive and excellent communication skills to join our team in beautiful Philadelphia! We are looking to unravel the mechanisms underlying autoimmunity in type I diabetes (T1D) and develop new cellular biomarkers for early disease detection. As a postdoctoral researcher, you will have the unique opportunity to work with primary human tissues and collaborate with leading experts in the field.
Application Deadline: Open Until Filled
2. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
The laboratory of Professor Xiaolu Yang is seeking two highly motivated postdoctoral researchers to join our dynamic team. We investigate fundamental mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative diseases and cancer, with current projects centered on the following two areas:
1. Protein Quality Control, aging, and Neurodegenerative Diseases
We have discovered two novel protein quality control (PQC) systems involving tripartite motif (TRIM) proteins and poly-Asp/Glu (polyD/E) proteins. These systems are ATP-independent and uniquely conserved—TRIM in animals and polyD/E in eukaryotes—setting them apart from classical PQC mechanisms. We are exploring their molecular mechanisms, their roles in aging and neurodegenerative diseases (including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and ALS), and their potential in therapeutic development.
2. Tumor Suppression, Metabolism, and Autophagy
We study the regulation and function of the tumor suppressor p53, focusing on its roles in metabolic pathways essential for biosynthesis and redox balance. Our work explores how p53 functions as both a sensor and regulator of cellular metabolism. We are also identifying metabolic alterations that contribute to tumor initiation and progression. A recent extension of this work examines the role of metabolism and autophagy in stem cells, including embryonic and cancer stem cells.

5. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
Modzelewski Lab (The Modz Lab) at the University of Pennsylvania Department of Biomedical Sciences School of Veterinary Medicine is recruiting Postdoctoral researcher(s) to join a new NIH-NIGMS, Beckman, Searle and Packard funded project. Our work focuses on the exciting and emerging role of retrotransposons in early development (and beyond). We are looking at how retrotransposons impact reproduction and preimplantation development in mice but with comparative biology studies using various placental mammalian species to learn about human health, reproduction and disease of aging and cancer.
Application Deadline: Open Until Filled
6. Postdoctoral Position
Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:
A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratories of Drs. Long Ding and Joshua Gold at the University of Pennsylvania. We use behavioral, electrophysiological, and computational techniques to study how the basal ganglia pathway contributes to decision making.
Application Deadline: Open Until Filled
