The fire safety technology research group of the School of Engineering is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic doctoral researcher for interdisciplinary research for the research project “Development of quantitative fire safety assessment for diverse care facility environments” funded by the Fire Protection Fund. The research focuses on the risk management of multi-faceted nursing facilities by means of fire tests and daily monitoring of the facilities. With the help of experiments, simulation models are created and they are used in the fire risk analysis of care facilities as part of the operation of new welfare areas.

5. Fully Funded PhD Position in Ultrasonic delivery of nucleic acids into cells, tissues and joints

Summary of PhD Program:

We are looking for a Doctoral Researcher to investigate ultrasonic methods for delivery of nucleic acids into tissues and cells in connective tissues such as articular cartilage and intervertebral disc. These investigated state-of-the-art methods are expected to contribute to new regenerative therapies for management of degenerative joint disease such as osteoarthritis.
