4. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

The Department of Population and Public Health Sciences is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar – Research Associate in computational and/or systems biology to study the interplay of lifestyle factors (smoking, vaping, diet), environmental factors (PFAS, air pollution), genetics and epigenetics in the etiology of cancer and other chronic diseases (specifically metabolic diseases). We routinely conduct next generation sequencing-based experiments that require skills in large scale data processing, analysis, and visualization, as well as biostatistics. We look for a highly motivated and talented postdoc with in-depth understanding and knowledge of genomic, epigenomic, and transcriptomic data processing and analysis, expertise in multi-omics data integration, and working experience with computational modeling and machine learning.

6. Postdoctoral Position

Summary of Postdoctoral Fellowship:

A postdoctoral position is available immediately in Jianfu (Jeff) Chen’s laboratory at the Center for Craniofacial Molecular Biology (CCMB) at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California. We are interested in craniofacial neuroscience, including the skull-brain interaction, craniofacial stem cells and regenerative medicine, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) degeneration and pain. We use genetically modified mice and human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs)/brain organoids to model neurological and craniofacial disorders followed by mechanistic studies. We aim using the mechanistic studies to develop therapeutic approaches for treating craniofacial and neurological diseases.
